Rosie loves to read. She goes to the school library almost every day and sometimes reads as many as two chapter books a day. She won the Character Award, the Writing Award, the Honor Roll Award and the Principal's Award (for having the second most AR points in the whole 3rd grade). A couple of weeks after she got the award she moved up to 1st place in the whole 3rd grade! AR quizzes are quizzes the students can take after reading a book, and they get points for each quiz they take. We are so proud of her! She also got invited to be on the SCA and is really looking forward to the activities that she will get to help out with around the school, like working on the school gardens and helping the homeless in our community.
